What I hope to use this webspace for presently is an archive of my considered-for-chapbook-inclusion writings (for review and elaboration) and collection of recordings of me, but for the time being I will also be employing it as a link repository directing the casual surfer to the following various, scattered and disparate online artifacts from my different incarnations.
Above all else I consider myself a writer (on good days, a scribbler otherwise, penner of such tripe as found in the Spam Sonnet archive, #12 and 13) above and beyond (but not necessarily superior to) the mere text interaction we all need to engage in to some degree to manoevre around this place-that-is-not-a-place. This self-conception (artistic rather than the mere functional communication of TABNet) began with my ANSiscene writings under the alias "Cthulu", an illustrated collection some of which appear as part of the Artchive at Sito.org which will eventually be mirrorred here. (The illustrated writings, that is, not the Artchive.) (As Cthulu I also released - and to some glacial (slow but unstoppable) degree, continue to, as evidenced by some tracked music, perusable at Traxinspace.com, using the impulse Tracker software.)
Surrendering the regretful war of attrition on textmode in general, I am perhaps best-known (or is that known best?) through my many, many words as Pseudo_Intellectual on Everything2.Com, an identity which rose, scum-like, to bear me through and past the shames of Yahoo! Chat. Somewhere between the data processing of e2 and the unending onslaught of inanity that was the chatrooms (past tense only inasmuch as I only patronize them now, not being their patron. I don't give their improvement the benefit of the doubt), I've also made suggestions - none followed upon - to the (now gloriously defunct) Choose-Your-Own Carl comic by Understanding Comics genius Scott Mccloud.
Strangely, I haven't yet been wholly sucked out of the nonline world, increasingly rarely (but inexorably) stepping up upon a stage and shaping words to which a handful of listeners subsequently applaud. Sometimes. These voyages have brought me to poetry slams (a weirdly slow account of which can be heard on the website of CBC 3) and, more to the point, to an administrative position at The Living Closet, where I maintain a perhaps helpful profile.
Since I'm a charmingly and contradictorily extroverted introvert, a photo gallery will become inevitable as accompaniment for the recordings, as well as perhaps some kind words others have had for me. Keep your eyes on here.
* A note - Where/if they appear, [hard brackets], in an e2 conceit, denote links which have not yet but will be implemented. Links pointing to me are in regular face, external links appearing as TeLeTypewritten.
